Illuketia, meticulously and lovingly restored, is an impressive estate house set on a hillock, in 10 acres of garden. Its huge hallway, with nine heavy carved doors, spacious living areas and lush tropical gardens provide a sense of space and luxury. It is set amid palm trees, frangipani and bamboo groves. A permanent English-speaking staff serves a mix of Sri Lankan and Western food (often to request), with most ingredients grown organically on site, or bought from local markets.

Products & Services :Three large double bedrooms, brightly designed, each with a modern ensuite bathroom, and smaller single bedroom. The main bedroom has a large private balcony overlooking paddy fields. Rooms have IDD phone, ceiling fans, mosquito nets and CD player.

| Illuketia is situated in a serene natural setting, only 10 minutes inland from the thriving south-coast town of Galle. The heyday of Illuketia Bungalow (the sister villa Of Apa Villas) came as a plantation house more than a century ago. It was beautifully restored by Hans Hoefer, photrapher and founder of the Insight Guides, in the early 1990s. |

Normal Check-in Time is 12.00 noon and Check-Out time is 11.00 a.m. Earlier Check-in Time or later Check-out time could be requested on a case by case basis and the hotel may agree depending on availability.
