Conveniently located in the centre of the Cultural Triangle, made to grow with and into nature, Cinnamon Lodge is green hospitality at its best. As you enter Cinnamon Lodge, you will wonder why on earth this part of the country is referred to as the Dry Zone. Theres nothing dry about the Lodge, not in its landscape, not in its facilities and not in the services offered the guest. Cinnamon Lodge is not your average hotel, with rooms packed into a building or two. It is more like the scrambling of such a building in that each residential unit is separately located. You get your own little cottage. Entertainment and recreation
If bike rides, hikes and “bird-walks” are not enough exercise, you could make use of the tennis courts and the pool to work away those extra calories. Live entertainment is provided every evening by the poolside by way of cultural shows, magic shows, acrobat shows etc. A live band performs every night. Poolside functions include barbecue nights on the terrace.

Herbal medicine centre
Talk to the resident Ayurvedic physician and work out a schedule for treatment designed to give yourself that extra healthy tone. Massages, steam baths, facials and other kinds of treatment are available as per your requirement.

Bird watching
This place is a bird watcher's paradise. Even in the relatively small space of 25 acres, a total of 138 bird species have been identified. Indeed, bird watching enthusiasts claim that a visit to Habarana is a must for any self-respecting ornithologist. Of the 138 species identified to date, some are endemic to Sri Lanka and two are globally threatened species. Take your bird checklist and go with your guide, either at 6.30 a.m. or 4.30 p.m. and it is guaranteed that you will have your fill of birds. Forget the trails, there are birds all around. They'll fly around as you have you morning coffee or as you walk to your room.

Weddings
Many guests choose Habarana to tie their nuptial knots. Traditional Sri Lankan weddings are arranged upon requests. With the lake as background, under the shade of massive and ancient trees, and the music of the wind in the leaves, there's no place more natural to have your wedding.

Restaurant
The restaurant is an open space quite in tune with the architect's vision of blending with nature. In fact there are resident squirrels, so tame that they will literally eat out of your hand. As for the food, there is a full complement of western and eastern dishes with a generous accent on particular ethnic dishes.
