Deluxe Rooms – Situated in two storey blocks featuring four identical rooms. All rooms feature either a veranda or balcony. Simple in design and tastefully laid out and decorated with ample space and ensuite bathroom with shower.

Deluxe Bungalows – The individual bungalows are cottage like in design with entrance from a veranda. The four poster bed is situated on a raised level behind the seating area. The spacious bathroom leads through to a private outdoor shower set in a small tropical garden.

Water Suite – Modern in interior design whilst maintaining a natural feel with thatched roofs. The rooms have an open plan design using contemporary material and are extremely spacious with a lower level seating area with sofa. The luxurious bathroom features a large picture window overlooking the crystal clear turquoise lagoon. The sundeck has a stunning ocean view and ensures maximum privacy.

The Summerfields – The main restaurant offers informal dining for board basis guests. All meals are either a buffet style or table d' hote combing Continental and Asian flavours

Café Velassaru – Offering delicious light international dishes throughout the day. Café Velassaru transforms in the evening into a cosy and intimate restaurant offering house specialties of fondue and flambé

Dragon Inn – Decorated in Chinese red and green with traditional lanterns, the atmosphere will delight you as much as the delicious oriental cuisine.

The fully air conditioned gymnasium, table tennis and floodlit tennis court are located in the centre of the island next to the spa. After a work out, the steam bath and plunge pool are ideal places to relax to ease tired muscles.

The free form pool with shaded Jacuzzi proves the perfect setting for whiling away the days with a fantastic sundeck and stunning views of the ocean.

The lagoon which surrounds the island is ideal for snorkeling, canoeing and windsurfing. Alternatively, you can relax on board one of our catamarans, while our staff sail you to some of the most beautiful reefs in the area.

Spa

Soothing hands and rejuvenating oils work their magic on a weary body and soul at the spa exclusive to Velassaru guests. Full body Aromatherapy or Ayurveda massages are available as well as beauty treatments and a steam plunge pool. There is a steam room, free for guests having a massage. Skin painting (Mahendi Decoration) is done by an expert using traditional dyes.

Scuba Diving

The dive centre is located in a modern, fully-equipped building on the arrival pier and has all equipment available for rent. It is run to very high standards by VIT (CMAS), SSI and PADI qualified instructors. Full instruction is given for beginners and dives are made to the most popular dive sites in the area including caves, reefs, canyons and shark points.

Location

This small, well established island is situated at the northern tip of the South Male Atoll about 45 minutes by boat from Male International Airport . Velassaru boasts excellent facilities whilst retaining the beauty of a stunning tropical island.
